| Physical and Chemical Properties | Chemical properties purple powder. Soluble in water. Solubility in water 15g/L (60 ℃). Soluble in ethylene glycol ether, slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone, insoluble in other organic solvents. Its aqueous solution is red and purple, and it turns blue after adding concentrated hydrochloric acid, accompanied by precipitation; adding concentrated sodium hydroxide solution turns purple, accompanied by precipitation. It is dark blue-green in concentrated sulfuric acid, and turns blue after dilution; it is blue-green in concentrated nitric acid, and turns brown after dilution. When dyeing, the color light of copper and iron ions turns slightly red. |
| Use | Use direct sun-resistant purple BB can be used for dyeing cotton, viscose fiber, wool, silk and nylon, and printing of fabrics. It is mainly used for dyeing and printing of viscose fabric, knitted underwear and cashmere blanket to obtain blue and purple color. Levelness and migration of good, variegated with a certain degree of hiding power. After dyeing, it must be treated with a fixing agent. Can also be used for leather, paper and water-based ink coloring. |

Direct Violet 51 - Production method
Using 2, 4-dimethyl-6-sulfonic aniline, 2-methoxy-5-methylaniline and N-phenyl J acid as raw materials. First, 2, 4-dimethyl-6-sulfonic aniline is diazotized, coupled with 2-methoxy-5-methylaniline, and then the coupling product is diazotized, and N-Phenyl J acid coupling product. The finished product is salted out, filtered, dried and crushed.
